It will stand up to use. The stitching is perfect. Inside it has five slanted slots for credit cards and four separate places for money, notes, photos. There is no plastic insert. It doesn't need one. This is not a tri-fold wallet, nor is it wide like a hip-pocket wallet. It is just a little larger overall than the dimensions of a check holder. It's made to be carried in the inner breast pocket of a jacket.The wallet comes in a lovely box, imprinted "BOSCA Est. 1911" on the lid. Nice for wrapping.This wallet exudes quality. It feels, looks and smells expensive. I purchased the cognac-colored leather this time. It is a rich reddish brown.
